Critical: Quality This place is very unprofessional, everytime I call there is a new rule for why they can't service me they are getting tax payers money and grant money to help the gthe needed they should be called in to the state for the poor job they are doing, the last ride I got the vehicle barely ran it's a total joke this place

Believe the poor reviews. They are a service that accepts medical ( your tax dollars) and they treat patients poorly. Today we witnessed a driver drop off a partially blind, elderly person across the street from the building they were going to. This service is not safe for your family members. I am encouraging all people who use this service in Ventura County with Medical payment to make your grievances public on Yelp! This is the only way to make change!

Masood Babaeian is too busy to be a professional. I, unfortunately, was relying on Ventura Transit to take me to Dr's, Dentist and Physical therapy. Wednesday his devious staff canceled my pre-arranged and pre-confirmed pickup to P.T. and I was charged $45 for not cancelling 24 hours in advance. Then his useless female supervisor name Jo refused to return 3 phone calls.
When I finally embarrased her to the phone, she accused me of bothering her. This was the second time that Ventura Transit made me miss an appt. The aforementioned useless Supervisor never responded to my multiple requests for an explanation then either. Masood needs to lose his contract with Transit so someone corrupt is not in charge of a group of people who are supposed to be professionals who help the handicapped and disabled people like myself.
They lie, don't show up and several operators are arrogant and also incompetent on the phone. I wish I could post a quarter of a star, just so everyone else knew that I rated this mismanaged joke of an organization. You should be ashamed, Masood Babaeian, by not returning my complaint call today. See you in civil court, where I will easily win, again. And you, will waste your time and/or judgement.

The vehicles are so so bad, they need a lot of maintenance. Especially going to LA and breaks making a loud noise, door handles, engine lights on, etc. and very unsanitized from the inside. Until something happens on the Freeway and I hope your company is liable when having kids in the van. Need to upgrade vehicles

I had a dangerous driver whose erratic, and unsafe, driving, and whose van with no seat belt, put me in bed for 4 days with incredible back pain. I had to reschedule my back surgery because of the unprofessional and dangerous ride. These people should not be allowed to transport medical patients. It's appalling that Medi-Cal is contracting with them to transport disabled clients.

Worst company in history. If you are looking for a reliable non emergency medical transportation, they are not the one. You will miss surgeries, doctor visits and worse. Secondly, staff places you on hold without saying there name and they hang up. This happened multiple times. It is very disgusting what they are doing and they should be banned. They have been giving my mom a hard time and the run around too many times.

No one in this company has an idea what is going on, and they will say that literally, " I don't know what is going on, I wasn't the person that helped you." This company does not have cars. Maybe 2 vans, the rest they utilize taxi's and Uber drivers. BLAH BLAH BLAH! Lies you sicken me

The drivers are excellent! I appreciate the services that VTS has to offer! Nicole is great as a ride scheduler however some of the office are inadequate at best! Della is rude and condescending! She acts as if I'm a beggar and is ready to catch me if I make a mistake on the time. I had a horrible weekend because of her. She should not be in this position!

My 85-year-old aunt with Parkinson's was abandoned by the roadside like a piece of garbage after her driver showed up 20 minutes late and without a wheelchair ramp. She waited two hours to get home from her medical appointment, in pain and drooling on herself because she needed her medication. This was the 2nd screw-up, and she only used the service twice. Ventura Transit is the worst medical transport service I have encountered and has no business serving medical patients, the elderly or disabled living in San Luis Obispo County when they are based in Ventura!

This is a terrible taxi service. They were hired by my mother's insurance to take her to her doctor's appointment. They were 45 minutes late then took her to the wrong address and dumped her there. My 91 year old mother sat at the wrong place for 3 hours because Ventura Transit System never returned to do the right thing and take her to the correct place even though I called them many times. A Lyft driver was finally hired to pick her up. This company is untrustworthy and should be avoided.

They were contacted by my 91 year old mothers insurance company to transport her to her doctors. They were 45 minutes late then dropped her off at the wrong address. After many calls they never went to get her and take her to the correct place. Two hours later a different service came instead. My mother missed the doctors appointment. In fact she was very stressed out and confused. With bad health this could have made her sick. I do not recommend anyone using this service. Untrustworthy.

This is the first time I have written a negative review. Called to get info on the cost of a private van to LAX. The person who answered the phone was very nice and helpful. She asked how many people and how many stops. I didn't really think about stopping to pick up other family members. She said it's only $10 for each additional stop. Because the stop we would need was in Santa Monica I made a point of saying so thinking additional fee would be more.
She said no it's just $10. I needed to confirm with my family so I said I would call back. Called back to make reservations. I was transferred to Paula. As I was giving her our info she tells me that the additional pick up would be $20. Told her I was quoted $10. She said because it was out of area it's more. I said I mentioned SM and was still quoted $10.
In a rude voice "I don't know who you talked too. Do you have a name? " I said no but it was the person who answered the phone I recognized her voice. She told we, with an additude, well they don't know, it's $20. In stead of saying I'm sorry you were given the wrong information and honoring the price. The next thing that came to my mind was are they now going to change the cost on the first pick up of $175 so I asked if I could talk to the manager.

The all time worst taxi service I have ever experienced. I have been waiting over a hour and half for a taxi that picked up the wrong people and left me in the parking lot. With out calling me when he arrived. I'm going to sleep in my car because of this horrible taxi service. Note I have a hotel room 4 miles away that I'm still going to have to pay for. So if you want to be stranded in a random parking lot drunk not able to drive call this taxi service and they won't help you

I called this company to schedule a cab pickup 30 minutes prior to when I needed them. I confirmed twice with the dispatcher that they could be there because I had an extremely time sensitive appointment, and could have easily called another company if they could not make it. 10 minutes after the agreed upon arrival time, no cab to be found. I called the dispatcher, who claimed that the driver "did not hear the dispatch" and would be there in Another 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, I finally get a call from the driver ASKING ME FOR A CROSSTREET.
I was already 20 minutes late and he didn't even know how to find my house! The driver missed my pickup time by half an hour, never even would have shown up had I not called back. Needless to say I was extremely late to my appointment, which cost both time and money. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

I actually relied on the reviews of the Ventura Transit System "Testimonials" They were all good, not a single bad review. (Shame on me) I ordered my pickup service for myself and 4 other girls on Saturday afternoon for Sunday 1:00am pickup. We were at out pick up spot at 1:00am and the service was not their. Giving them 15 minutes, I called the company at 1:15 and she said that she had ordered it, called the pick up driver and a different driver called. (one that was supposed to pick up a different group of people). Needless to say, no one ever came to get us. IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY AND DON'T WANT TO BE LEFT ON THE CURB, DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY! They are unreliable.

Used VTS for my wedding, they where awsome! They worked with me and my wife to get all of our guests to and from LAX and from the hotel to the venue. The price was just right and the attention to customer service was excellent. As a treat they threw in their WINE TOUR! Yes, for all you wine lovers out there they even have a very fun and elegant wine tour around several of the local vineyards and stopped at a cute little local resturant for a meal.
It was the prefect end to our special weekend! My wife and I have gotten their Wine Tour Package as a gift for her parents as well. the cost was unbelievable for the quality and inclusiveness of this tour. Well worth every penny! Hope this helps :
