The first hour of our tour was mostly driving around and picking up people. Some of the group was doing the airplane tour, and a few of us weren't. Went to a couple of nice sites while they did the airplane tour, but again a good portion of time is spent dropping them off, waiting for the guide Steve to finish socializing with people, and returning to pick them up.
The restaurant they took us to had very little Hawaiian food. This was a "best of Kauai tour, " and we go to a place which does waffles and burgers as their main entrees. Our guide had a lot of political and religious comments which really were not appreciated or needed. Bit of an egoist as well. Also didn't appreciate his comments to strongly encourage tipping.

****DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!*** Absolute horrible experience! Total bait and switch! Preying on tourists that are looking for a nice experience on their vacation! We wanted a large van to take a big group to a Luau so we proceeded to get several price quotes and even had the option to take the shuttle that the Luau offered. The quote we got from the owner of North Shore Limo was a little higher than the others but they sold us on the fact that we would be able to stop at a waterfall and would have extra time to see sites, etc. so we went with them.
The person that picked us up had absolutely no personality and barely talked to us. We had to tell him exactly where to go and he basically just dropped us off-it definitely was not a "tourist" experience like we expected. Actually, my friend took an Uber from the airport the day before and kept raving about how his driver told him all about the island, the history, the people, etc.
I was expecting something more like this from an experienced touring company-but we definitely did not get that experience. We should have just taken an Uber! He then dropped us off almost 45 minutes early to the Luau and just left? We didn't even know that we couldn't get into the Luau grounds any earlier so we basically sat in a parking lot for 45 minutes when he could have taken that opportunity to show us more of the island.
He picked us up on time and drove us directly back to our hotel. Besides all of that, the car was clean and the drive felt safe so we would have been fine with it for the price quoted to us-which again, was just a bit more than most of the other companies. We would have let it go. The driver had no personality and we probably paid too much but whatever-we had fun at the Luau.
I am not one to complain about stuff so I usually just move on. What happened when we got home is why I am posting this now and will continue to remind people to absolutely NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The major frustration came when we got our charge from the credit card we used. Thinking the price quoted to us was a little higher but fairly comparable to the other companies put us in complete shock when we got charged DOUBLE the amount quoted to us!
Why would we even bother using this company if we would have known that the price was double, we had several other options-including just driving ourselves in separate cars! We got absolutely no paperwork or email with any different pricing before, during, or after the ride until we got home and got our bill. This was odd, we were quoted a price and double checked that price with the owner.
It wasn't worth the price quoted and DEFINITELY NOT WORTH DOUBLE THAT? REALLY? Not sure what this guy is trying to get away with but he won't be in a customer service based business much longer. He could have bypassed all of this by just making good on what he quoted us and refunding half our money. We would have let everything else go but now he is trying to charge us double what we should have-so it is the principal of the matter and that is why I am leaving this nasty review!

Domi was by far the best tour guide I have ever been with! My family and learned so so much about the history and beauty of the island in the time we were with him! He even brought us to an amazing small, home cooking spot for lunch to experience some amazing, authentic Hawaiian food! I would do the tour all over again in one vacation stay! Mahalo Domi! You definitely made our trip so memorable and we hope to see you again!
