Our taxi driver threatened and insulted us for no reason he looked impaired we felt in danger and actually thought about dealing 911 when he suddenly inverted the route saying that he was not gonna bring us to the destination if we didn't give him the cash immediately. I will for sure follow up with management until they do something about it. Additionally this "driver" only wanted cash only didn't want to give a receipt charged us more then anticipated. Is this what happens in LA or is it just this company? So scary!

I put in an on-line reservation on June 4, 2022 for service on June 5, 2022; pickup time: 11 AM. No cab came. I called at 11:15 AM and computer voice said "we're looking for a driver". I waited 30 minutes and called back because no cab came and the computer voice just repeated "we're looking for a driver." After another fifteen to thirty minutes, I called and asked to talk to a person.

After being on hold for a while, someone answered and said they were looking for a driver to pick me up and that there was a shortage of cabs over the weekend and that I'd made my reservation at 4:30 in the afternoon. I said the time didn't matter; only that I had made my reservation the day before I needed the cab. It got to be 1 PM and still no cab. Got a computer call saying the cab was on its way. Locked my front door and waited outside for thirty minutes, but no cab came. Called company again and talked to a person. Told him to cancel my reservation since he said they were still looking for a driver to pick me up. This is unacceptable. I needed to go to the hospital to visit my critically ill mother and don't have car or ride. I had to just call the hospital and ask about her.

BEWARE.Our Yellow Cab driver literally took us "for a ride". What was supposed to be a 9 mile 30 minute trip to our destination took 19 miles 45 minutes. He was evasive when I asked him which way he was going and he hid his phone in his lap so we couldn't see the GPS route. We took an Uber back to our hotel which was half the fare - $35 as opposed to $70 by Yellow Cab. I will never call a Yellow Cab again.

That's so happy here. The cab driver pulls up and pulls off doesn't even stop to see if I'm coming out the door according to the security and the cameras they checked it. And then it takes an hour or more sometimes just to get a cab. I mean I am not one to boost Uber or Lyft. But that kind of makes it difficult for people not to go the other way. It took me 3 three and a half hours to actually get a cab from my hotel which is by LAX to LAX. I wouldn't say this even makes my list let alone at the bottom of it.

I reserved a ride to the airport two days before my flight and nobody showed up to pick me up. I called and they said call back in 20 minutes if I don't have a ride. I didn't get a ride from these people and I ended up calling uber, which is exactly what anybody reading this review should do.

I placed a request for a cab at 10:30 pm for the following morning at 7:55 am to take me to a surgery center. The driver called and said he'd be 15 minutes late which would make me late. When he DID arrive he took off in a few seconds while I was grabbing my keys to lock the door which is 12 feet from the street. I then had to request another cab and wait further.

I was very late for my procedure which made me very nervous and upset! I cannot call to speak to someone about this so I'm leaving this bad review. I will never use them again.

Where do I start let's just say I had the nightmare and night from hell. To avoid a headache I asked the operator if a driver would be there for sure because I was about to miss the last bus leaving Rowland heights back to Los Angeles for the night. No driver ever showed my cabs kept getting canceled right after I would book and wait about 30mins. Needless to say 32 calls later and an entire night outside with a ton of hardware in my leg due to the military I found myself freezing sitting with my back against the wall and watching predator circle only in South Central LA

Terrible. I use this company through my insurance provider. They are consistently late. I've currently been waiting for an hour for a ride to take me to an appt that is now in 5 minutes. The last driver I had was talking on the phone while also eating. He saw me trying to get out in my crutches and didn't even help me. I had to interrupt his phone conversation to ask him to please make sure not to pull away while I'm still trying to get out in my crutches.

Then he told his friend on the phone to hold on to rush to help me but I had already gotten out of the car. I personally prefer independent taxi but sometimes I don't get a choice and get stuck with these guys. It's not a pleasant experience at all.

Do not allow 6680 to pick you up. He is not fit to drive a cab. He could barely see and was rude and racist. If you are a woman especially do not. Forwarned.

I booked a pick up online and then called them to confirm. I even gave them the nearest cross-street over the phone. They still managed not to show up. When I called to ask them where the driver was, I was told they don't have my pick up scheduled. I ended up getting an Uber, and almost missed my flight from LAX. This is the worst cab company in LA. Avoid at all costs.

L would walk before I booked another ride with this company. We booked an accessible cab to go from San Pedro to the cruise terminal in Long Beach, booking it almost 24 hours in advance. We gave them the credit card for payment and they had my email and cell number. They were supposed to pick us up at 12:30 and when that time came, and they weren't here, we then called and they said they didn't have a vehicle available.

Now they didn't call us and let us know. If we hadn't called we would never have known they weren't coming. We had to call an Uber, and my wife had to transfer out of her wheelchair. Which fortunately she was able to do. All I can say is I would never trust this company again.

They actually deserve a -1. I booked a minivan hours before I needed to leave for the airport. There was absolutely no indication there'd be a problem. Eight minutes before I was scheduled to be picked up I called them because I hadn't received a notification that a driver was on his way. Not only was a driver not booked, they had the nerve to act like it was okay and they'd reach out once a driver was available.

I told them I had a flight to catch and would get a ride from a neighbor. It obviously went over their heads because they still texted 1 1/2 hrs later to tell me my ride was on it's way. My plane was taxiing out.

Seriously, do not attempt to use them if you care about arriving to your destination on time, if at all. They are notorious for flaking. I hadn't read their reviews before reserving a cab to the airport, but they have no concept of time or integrity. My daughter and I would have missed our flight had my neighbor not walked by as I was yelling at dispatch over our no-show driver and offered us a ride. They had the nerve to text me almost 2 hours later when our plane was departing that my cab was on its way.

Requested a ride and after 45 mins of waiting I called to check the status and was told that the ride was canceled. I re-requested the ride and after another 45 mins of waiting called back and got the same message. If I could give a 0 out of 5 stars I would!

Customer service surprisingly went above and beyond for me today, I told them I was needing to get to a drs appointment quickly and they expedited my ride, they came in 10 minutes. It was amazing! Didn't even know that was possible, it was honestly the first thing that went right today because Uber & Lyft was trying to charge 50$ for a 20 min ride.

I got an upfront price from yellow cab and it was just 26$! Im going to be using yellow cab more often now that they do upfront prices, it's cheaper than Uber and Lyft. Thanks for the ride!

I walked to the rideshare section at LAX and decided to take a cab cause Uber was crazy with their prices but I should've known better. I was going to get scammed. I asked the driver how much to North Hollywood, he told me outside of the cab between 40-60 but it was really $87. Added a tip on top of that without my consent. Don't bother with this company. Not worth it.

Absolutely terrible driver tonight. Saw him select the longer route to my destination from the airport, and following along my GPS he literally went in the opposite direction and took the longest possible route before heading to my place. My bill was double what it was supposed to be, and I've taken this route many times from the airport. When I told the driver he took the longer route, he lied and told me it was faster which was wrong. Not only was it a longer ride, but a much further one resulting in me paying literally double what I was supposed to, and much more expensive than Lyft would've been.

My mom took yellow cab the other day after Uber cancelled on her 3 times. Uber and Lyft have as predicted post IPO become so unreliable. Their strategy of trying to squeeze out the existing cab companies with lower rates initially and now higher rates is now a fact. These tech companies always claim doing good initially and when they cash out their true colors show.

My mom had accidentally left her phone in the car and he turned around after he found it and went back and knocked on my moms door and gave it to her. The Yellow Cab driver was fantastic and the company needs to be recognized for doing good work in the community.

Awful and don't use them. They did not show up the first time and said they ran out of drivers. The next time I tried them the driver was 30 minutes late and went to the wrong address and called and argued I was at the wrong address. Lastly I got stuck at lax using them and he took the very long route. He thought I was a tourist and did not know the area Stay away from these guys

I lost my bag in a cab from LAX to my home and spoke with Wamiq who was able to track down the driver on my behalf. He let me know my bag was safe and that he would have it returned to me at my home. I had very expensive items in there so the customer service/reassurance that was given was amazing.

Booked a cab to the airport for 1pm. They didn't show, didn't call. We called 2 times to see where they were and they said they "were trying to find a driver" even though we had booked 2 days prior. Horrific service ordered an Uber.

I called 24 hours ahead for a ride to LAX midweek, 8:45 in the morning. When the cab failed to show on time I called and an automated answering machine told me they were not yet able to locate a driver. I would have missed my flight if not for an Uber who arrived in 5 minutes. An added bonus, the Uber ride was 20% cheaper.

Booked a ride the day before a trip. Called in the morning to confirm and make sure everything was good to go. Customer service told me everything looks great and will be on time. I'm waiting outside at my pickup time and no one shows up. I call customer service and they didn't have any clue. I asked them to see if they can give me an update or find a driver but apparently they work separately from "dispatch". Couldn't give me any status updates and told me that if dispatch couldn't find something in 30 mins they'll cal and refund me.

This is one of many reasons that cabs are dead. Even though supply is low for ride share in general, Uber and Lyft at least provides decent customer service. DO NOT rely on them if you have a trip coming up.

Do not rely on LA Yellowcab for a ride to the airport! It looks like a common theme to reserve airport rides and drivers not show up. They were still looking for drivers at the time of pick-up. They could not offer any status update when I called. I ended up cancelling the reservation and taking two Lyfts for our group to avoid missing my flight.

Booked a cab last night for an airport run this morning. Didn't show up and 30 minutes later, still no driver. Best stick with the Ubers and Lyft folks if you need reliability.

On a Thursday afternoon, I booked a van for 5:30 the following morning to take my family to LAX. I received a confirmation email and text. The next morning, I received two texts telling me that my driver was en route. At 5:35, I called the company and was told that they had not been able to find a driver. As a result, we were forced to take a premium Lyft. Honestly, I booked with LA Yellow Cab, rather than Uber or Lyft, because I wanted to support a local business. Not sure I will do it again.

Unreliable. Cabs never came. Go figure why Uber and Lyft took over. What's the point of making a reservation? Completely clueless company screwed over our plans.

I booked a ride to LAX the day before for 5 am at 5.01 I called to check the status of my cab and they said that they were looking for it. long story short I had to call my friend to drive us to LAX, the cab called me that was on his way exactly after 1 hour. if my friend wasn't able to drive us we would have missed our international flight. unbelievable and unacceptable

I never post reviews. But my pre booked uber flaked at 4am this morning when I had to get to the airport for an early flight and LA yellow cab came in under ten minutes to pick me up. The driver was helpful and drove me safely and helped with my bags- excellent service.

With three days advance reservations they still arrived 1 hour late causing us to miss our flight home from LAX. Stick to Uber or Lyft if you actually want to get to your destination on time.

The worst company in la. drivers with temper. Reckless and unprofessional. And when you complaint they never accept the drivers fault. I am starting a lawsuit against this joke company.
