Good service when things go smoothly, we have used Adams limo many times in the past however, today we returned to JFK from a 2 week vacation. We prearranged pickup before we left including an infant car seat which they charge extra for. The driver was 30 minutes late and showed up with a car seat that A) could not be setup rear facing so not legal for a 1 year old despite specifically requesting it (and receiving it on the initial departure leg) B) Car seat did not actually work at all. Latches would not close.
We watched in agony as the driver attempted to latch our baby into the seat unsuccessfully and was forceful enough that the baby was screaming. He then spent another 10 minutes trying to get the latches to work without the baby when we finally decided we had enough. All could have been forgiven if the dispatcher and the driver were not incredibly rude about the situation and tried to remedy the situation rather than giving up and leaving us stranded at the airport.
The driver said you asked for a car seat so here it is, we did as we were asked. He then told me to shut up and cursed at me when I told him the car seat didn't work and he did not provide the required equipment. The dispatcher was rude to my wife and insisted that they were responsible for nothing more and we would be charged the nearly $200 fee.
In the end, we called Carmel car service, they showed up in 5 minutes, were extremely professional and cost us $50 less than Adam's limo was going to charge us. After this experience I will never again use Adam's limo.
