Had one of these buses pull into my rest area, I-64 westbound just east of Mt. Vernon, IL. The bus was blocking a handicap spot along with several other parking spaces. I attempted to tell the driver not to do it again because we have rules concerning such things. The driver completely ignored me. Time was 4 pm, (1600 hrs) day was Thursday August 30th, 2018.
There are clear visibly posted signs that tell larger vehicles to park in the truckers lot. The bus seemed to have been transporting a female sports squad of sorts. This was highly unprofessional of your company and not appreciated.

Our travel agent booked Sandollar to pick us up to take us to the airport and take us home when we returned 16 days later. The driver arrived at our home a few minutes early, was completely professional and courteous. The car was clean and well kept up. When we arrived back at the airport after a very long travel time another driver was waiting for us, once again professional and courteous. A completely satisfying experience.

Bus number 4813 nearly ran me off the road in the slow lane. The driver threw her hands up, opened the door, yelled that I cut her off (Which wasn't my intention, and she ran up on me ten seconds after I merged into the slow lane), and called me a sexist slur. That kind of road rage is unnecessary and dangerous. Please train your drivers to keep calm if they get frustrated.

Disappointed. We stayed at The Galt House this past Saturday. Upon check in we seen a sign advertising $19.00 limo rides. We went to inquire- There was no one at the desk. We called and waited for about 20 minutes. Finally the CSR came back and we inquired about the service. Well, we were then told they had no driver for the day/night. HHHmmmm soo why advertise?

Very unprofessional and never on time! Stayed at the Galt House while on business in Louisville. Both the hotel and Sandollar shuttle service were arranged and provide to me through my company. When arriving to Louisville AND when departing I had to wait well over an hour for a shuttle that's supposed to run every 30 mins. The uncourteous representative at the Sandollar front desk within the hotel kept promising times that the shuttle would be there and as I continued to wait and check for updates with her, she just kept saying how the driver "must be running late". I will definitely NOT be using this shuttle service on any future business trips!

I had already secured limo service for a private Bourbon Trail tour for four before I read reviews on yelp. Needless to say, I was a bit apprehensive as to how our experience would go. We couldn't have been more pleased with our limo and driver! Mike, the driver, was at the appointed meeting place waiting for us when we arrived. He loaded our gear into the limo after some friendly small talk, and we were off.
He was so attentive to our needs, getting us right to the front door at each experience. He gave us his cell # so we could call when we were getting ready to move on, and the limo was ready and waiting, and cooled off. We left exactly at the appointed time and returned at exactly the appointed time. We cannot imagine a more wonderful experience. Mike had also called ahead to all our stops to check on parking and traffic issues and construction problems.
He was a real pro and made the experience that much more special. I can only assume that Sandollar has read their own reviews and made necessary adjustments. We highly recommend them!

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I don't know how these people stay in business. I stayed at the Galt House and their website recommended Sand Dollar for transportation to and from the airport. I booked an airport pick-up time online and received an email confirming my reservation. The email stated that the actual pickup might be 10 of minutes beyond the scheduled time, and that if the driver hadn't arrived by then to call one of the 2 phone numbers listed in the email.
After waiting 15 minutes, I tried calling both numbers and received no answer. I repeated this multiple times and never received anything but a voice mail message. I was waiting with another woman who had the same scheduled pickup time. She also called repeatedly and finally spoke to a dispatcher, who told her "traffic is bad" and that they would be there in 10 minutes.
We continued waiting for almost an hour, at which point I gave up and took a cab. During the whole time I waited I kept calling the 2 phone numbers but never received an answer. To add insult to injury, when I checked out of the hotel I found that Sand Dollar had added the full round-trip cost ($25) to my room bill, even though I had only scheduled the pickup from the airport. I was able to get the Galt House to remove the charge.

We waited at the designated spot for about an hour after contacting them twice to pick us up. They never showed up and we ended up taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel. After checking in at the Galt Hotel we headed to the transportation desk. Words were exchanged and after spending 15 more minutes explaining why they needed to give us back our money they finally relented. It was not easy task nor was pleasant. ADVICE: take the taxi from the airport. It is a flat $19.50 fee. fast, efficient and pleasant all the things that this service is not.

HORRIBLE! USE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! We were staying at the Galt House for my husband's 50th birthday so I rented a limo to transport us. The trouble started with the first phone call. The person who answers the phone can not answer ANY questions. I am not sure why they have a job. I left 3 messages before someone finally returned my call so I could make a reservation.
When scheduling our car, I was told that we would be picked up in the Chrysler 300 shown on their website. When the driver showed up, the car looked like an 80's model, it was dirty, worn out, and NOT any of the cars pictured on their website. When we got in, every cup holder and the cooler were full of empty beer cans. The floor was filthy, the headliner was torn out around the sunroof; damaged lights were dangling from under the wood moulding; and there were no glasses to drink from.
I was COMPLETELY embarrassed to put my husband and our friends in this car. The next day when I emailed the manager about my concerns, he was a complete jerk and offered no apologies or compensation. Quality of service normally reflects quality of management and both are very poor with Sandollar. Take you money somewhere else!

This is absolutely one of the worst companies I have ever encountered in my life. You donor get an email confirmation or payment confirmation receipt unless you FIGHT for one with someone. I spoke with multiple people and they were very rude, wouldn't answer the phone, or hung up on me. Trying to get a pick up time as almost impossible as they "couldn't find my reservation" which is ironic considering they won't send you a confirmation email of the transaction.
For the rate they charge, you are better off with UBER or even a taxi. The driver didn't show up to pick us up at the hotel, and when we finally got through they said oh, 3:05 but they "require a pick up time 90 minutes before your flight." The driver that picked us up at the airport was kind. They couldn't pay me to use this service again. It truly was one of the worst experiences in terms of service. I would give 0 stars if I could.

We stayed at the Galt House and were headed to Churchill Downs. We rented the bus for $100 to take us there and back. Needless to say the buses are old, driver was rude, and texted while driving us back from the park! Lied about the time frame we would pick us up and then proceeded to argued with us. Don't use this place, totally unprofessional, outdated, and scammers!

I was the guest of honor for a recent event where my friends booked a Sandollar limo. In a nutshell, Sandollar essentially ruined the entire day due to their terrible driver and awful customer service. The driver was a reckless driver, and scared several of us in the back. We also caught him talking on the phone and texting. Even worse, he had no idea where he was going, so we had to give him turn by turn directions from the back.
This was after driving for 1.5 hours to no destination, so we had to steer him straight for the rest of the drive. After the limo ride from hell, he had the nerve to ask if he could use our bathroom at our house where he dropped us off. What?! In the end, the tragedy was that Sandollar did nothing to compensate us for our terrble experience. No refund, no apologies. Nothing. If you're looking for a limo company with horrible drivers and even worse attention to customer experience, look no further than Sandollar.

When I fly into Louisville, I often stay at the Galt House. To actually arrive at said hotel, I rely on the very convenient Sandollar shuttle to get me there! Pros: -During the weekdays at the Galt House, the shuttle takes off every half hour from 8a-1p and then every hour until the early evening. -The drivers are friendly! -Round trip will run you $25.
It seems pretty fair if comparing to two cab rides. -Payment is super easy as the one way ($15) or round trip ($25) can be charged to your room at the Galt House. Cons: -The shuttle can sometimes take a bit of time to arrive at the airport, even with a prior phone call/scheduling. -As with many airport shuttles, waiting for everyone to climb aboard and exit can be a little time consuming, especially with the additional stop at the Hilton on the way out to the airport.

I use this service for airport transportation. It is about half the cost I would pay using a taxi, and the service is much friendlier--anything to avoid using the taxis in SDF. The shuttle is also clean, which is a plus. I usually just make reservations online and they are there to pick me up at the requested time. Round trip fare from downtown is $25. On returning to the airport it's a good idea to call the day before to verify pick up time. So easy and so simple.
