We used American for the last two year for a bus for the The Black Eyed Susan day and both times they did a great job! Drivers were very professional and easy to work with

Terrible company to work for. Its almost like working with highs schoolers. Place has no sense of accountability. Owner has cameras and likes to watch everything from his house kind of creepy.

My husband and I are senior citizens and we needed a ride from Howard County, Maryland, to the Newark airport, an over three hour drive. American Limousines staff and driver handled our reservations, drive, and all aspects of our trip and reservations with excellence, promptness, and thorough professionalism. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use their services again as needed!

Avoid this company at all costs! We hired American Limo to bring our wedding party to and from our wedding venue and hotel. Spoke with Brian who arranged the times and made recommendations based on our two locations. Needless to say, the bus was late arriving to the venue. The bus was supposed to make two runs back to the hotel. The bus driver "took a different route" and was going to arrive back 45 minutes late.

Driver and dispatcher got into a yelling match with each other when called. Left a service dog and wedding party stranded. Needless to say, everyone was left high and dry. Carlo (ops manager) still has not called back as promised and has provided no refund. I strongly recommend avoiding this company if you need dependable, respectful transportation. Rude, not dependable and incredibly inconsiderate! I have never once left a poor review anywhere but need to warn everyone!

Excellent service! Our company hired a limo bus for 2 days for out of town customers. Renita reserved our party and worked with our ever changing schedule( which changed at least 4 times) and Stanley, our driver, was on time and professional. Highly recommend!

We hired American Limo's white wedding trolley for our wedding last month and had an excellent experience! They were very responsive throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, our driver Trucelle arrived on time and was very kind to work with. The trolley itself was also beautiful and exactly how I had envisioned it! We would highly recommend them for your event.

Last month, we had two buses to transport local and out of town wedding guests to the venue. One of the drivers was late, causing a 15min delay to the ceremony while we waited for nearly half the guests to arrive. But that's the lesser issue. Later that day, one driver (do not know if it was the same one) caused damage to the exterior of the venue (and the bus), resulting in $700 of repairs required for the historic building. Now, over a month after the incident, American Limousines is refusing to pay for the damages to the venue caused by their driver and burdening the bride & groom with paying out of pocket.

There should be no issues for a company in good standing with their insurance companies to cover this amount as the cost of doing business. American Limousines is an irresponsible, unprofessional vendor, and will only cause ongoing headaches for you and your event. Do not contract them for your event, and do not allow your clients to either!

We hired this company for my sisters wedding. One of the drivers did $700 worth of damage to property at the venue - we know it was them because a piece of the bus was left behind - and they are refusing to pay. Absolutely would not ever use them again.

The experience was really good. Our driver Lavale was awesome. He was able to get us to our destination safely. He definitely knows how to maneuver the chapter bus. We drove from Baltimore to Atlanta which was 12 hours. Our driver took breaks which was needed. I would highly recommend the service.

Had this service booked for a multi day trip out of state. I can definitely say: this is the best bus ride I've ever been on. Lavell is extremely professional, punctual and skilled. He was never late, very flexible with last minute changes to the itinerary, and he made difficult maneuvers look effortless.

Way way to expensive for the service they provide. Plus communication with their dispatch is terrible. Not a good company to work with.

We hired American Limousines for our daughter's wedding this past weekend. Making the reservation was easy and the woman who helped me on the phone was helpful and very professional when answering all of my questions. Ryland, the driver was in constant communication with me and showed up right on time. The coach bus was impeccably clean and quite comfortable. Ryland was so kind and helpful when we needed help getting our 97 year old Nana on the bus safely.

He even called at the end of the evening to see what shuttle Nana was going to be on so he could assist us. We want to thank Ryland for his excellent service and American Limousines for providing such wonderful service and professionalism as well. Thanks again. Bridget and Sam Robbins

If I could give zero stars I would. We were charged for tolls because apparently the limo driver took the toll road on the way to pick us up after our wedding, and after dropping. Never have I ever heard of a transportation company that charges riders for expenses while they're not even riding. Couldn't the driver have simply taken a different route?

This isn't explained anywhere in the website and the charges were made separate from the charges for the transportation meaning they charged my card without authorization. So now we have deceptive business practices and credit card fraud! When I called to inquire I was told that I would be refunded for half! Still waiting for that. Wondering if I should contact the BBB. It's not the $8 that matters so much as the fact that the charges were fraudulent. In conclusion avoid like the corona-virus!

I rented a bus for a St Patrick's Day bar crawl for 37 people. The bus was very well kept up almost looked new. Our driver Trucell was amazing. He did a awesome job with dealing with a bunch of drunk people. He was very friendly and professional. Great job Trucell. I will definitely use American Limousine again on my next rental.

My friend booked a party bus for her 30th birthday. The bus didn't show at the time she had set up. When she called to inquire about the bus she was told no reservation was ever made. This put a real damper on her day. The company said they would look into it but my friend can't get her 30th birthday back.

Worse service ever. My husband hired them to pick me and my friends up at the airport the ride was 20 minutes long. The driver showed up late the water in the limo was hot. The service was terrible but what ever I left it at that. 2 days later I get a charge of almost double the amount they had said initially. I called to complain they told me that even though im seeing 2 charges.

One is a hold and will be released. I proceeded to tell her the amount is wrong it's not what was told to us. And the receipt shows we had the limo for 4 hours we didn't. It was 20 minutes. Then she said that's how long it takes the driver to get from their office to the airport. How's that my problem? And they never said that before.

I left a message for the accounting department before I dispute with my bank. Hoping they are fair and will call me back. If they don't. They will not get paid at all. Do not use this place at all!

My experience with them has been that they're not very organized and are unprofessional. I have used them once for a bus once for a school field trip. The DVD player was broken; I wasn't able to use it. As a matter of fact, I found out the device was broken after it took my dvd and wouldn't eject. Also, the restroom on board had an extremely foul odor emitting from it; the smell traveled through the entire bus during our ride to and from. I'm not sure what the issue was.

There was an air freshener near the area, but it didn't help with this. I contacted American about these issues; of course, they were ignored. However, they were quick to send an invoice for an extra hour of use of their bus. Unlike them, I was prompt with my response and payment. Another example is in October 2018, I did an online request for a bus quote for a trip in November 2018.

I received no response. No phone call. No email. Nothing. Because I did not hear anything from them, I went ahead and secured a bus from another local company. Fast forward to the trip in November, American Limo popped up. Mind you, as mentioned above, I had never received any confirmation of this bus, and I never signed any contract securing a bus. Needless to say, I had to contact them and explain the whole situation; I was on hold and had to get everything quickly squared away.

I have never heard of anything like this happening. Because of these experiences, I've decided to use other transportation services who are much more prompt and professional. Also, in comparison their buses are much more expensive than other local companies. I will say our driver was pretty cool, and that's why I couldn't fathom giving them one whole star.

We engaged American Limousines for transportation for a wedding rehearsal dinner, wedding day activities and last day trips to the train station. This included, three luxury 29-person mini-coaches, one Lincoln Limousine, and one 14-person mini-coach. I had the pleasure - and I mean pleasure - of working with Brian to select the proper vehicle and coordinate all the moving parts.

The execution was flawless and every driver was on-time, courteous and professional. When it rained, they held umbrellas over the guests as the boarded or got off. And, they would wait patiently nearby each destination, in the event someone needed to leave early. If I ever had the need again, or was asked for a recommendation, I would not hesitate to say use American Limousines and insist on working with Brian. Both were tops!

I worked with many vendors for my wedding and have refrained from posting anything but positive reviews, given the deep respect I have for hard working local businesses. However, I felt very DISrespected by the management of this company and for this reason feel it is important to share about my experience so that others can make an informed decision before signing a contract.

We were very happy with our experience planning with Renita! However, the day of our wedding and follow-up with this company was by far the WORST, most aggravating customer service I have ever encountered. Although I could list all grievances, I have no doubt management will respond to this post to argue with me line-by-line about what happened, and after an AWFUL few weeks doing with them over the phone, I have no desire to continue arguing with them.

That in itself may speak to my bottom line: after everything that went wrong (late limos, breakdowns caused by drivers not having adequate training, chronic lateness, damage to property, and most of all, ZERO communication from company), management really jerked us around. Frequently told us they would call at a specific time to discuss this fiasco, and never followed through. Also, essentially accused me of lying about small details (eg, I said I stepped out of a family dinner to take a call.

When my husband joined the call, he mentioned he stepped out of the shower. Guy had the gall to question if I was lying about being at dinner. Is he serious? Was that necessary?) The company really seems like a mess, and gave us the absolute minimum reparation for our horrible experience. I am beyond disappointed, and frankly devastated, by this whole experience. We booked with Renita and our driver was Lee. They were both awesome to work with. Very professional. Lee went above and beyond. He drove us to the Zac Brown Band concert at Jiffy Lube Live. So worth it. Helped us set up our tailgate and then helped break it down. We loved him.

I worked with Brian at American Limousines on a upcoming event. I misunderstood the original bid and expected the contracted price lower than what it showed. As you can image when planning any event, it was disappointing because I was working with a budget. Brian honored the original price. It is nice to see their are good people out there that will work with you. I look forward to using them for my upcoming event!

We set up a limo through American Limousines for my daughter's wedding. The driver, Kevin, arrived on time (actually early) dressed in all his finery. Kevin took excellent care of us. The ride to the church was perfect. We cranked some music, set the mood lights and got ready to celebrate. Thank you Nick, Brian and Kevin for your service!

I had such a wonderful experience with this company! We hired a limo and an SUV and both drivers were on time and great. I had to change the time also and both Dan and Nick were so helpful making any changes and confirming everything for us. We will definitely be using them again!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE I contracted with American Limousines for my sons bachelor party last Sat. My contract was from 7-12 but I was told the group could stay out past 12 and I would then by charged by the 1/2 hr. At midnight everyone wanted one last stop and told the driver where they would like to go. He proceeded to pass the exit and when they told him he passed it and to turn around he told them NO that he was not going anywhere else that night.

After several people on the bus got involved he did turn around and dropped them off at location and said they had to find their own rides home and then pulled away with our 2 coolers on the bus. I got a frantic call from a passenger who told me that the driver was not coming back and all 20 passengers would have to find a ride home on their own. I called dispatch who then had to call and wake the manager up to get the driver to come back to pick up. Monday morning I called American Limousines to report this and was told someone would call me back. NO ONE CALLED I proceeded to call 4 additional times and asked to speak with the owner. Brian (who calls himself the owner) came on the phone with a smug attitude immediately and said the driver misunderstood.

When I relayed what happened that night he asked me what my complaint was about and proceeded to make outrageous accusations. He said everyone was picked up and I was charged for it. I told Brian I did not think it was fair to charge full price for the two additional hours since everyone was only picked up because I had to make a phone call to get the driver back there.

His reply was "and if we didn't come back then I would not charge you" Save yourself some real aggravation and use a different limo service. They were completely uncooperative and extremely rude.

We went to DC last night and our driver was Mr. Derrick. He was fabulous. The company is great. I did business with John, who could not of been more helpful. I wish I could give them a thousand stars. Look no further - this is the limousine company you want.

Yep, scam artists. Contracted with American limo for a round trip ride from airport to destination. First leg of trip was fine. Cancelled 15 minutes before pickup for return trip, saying they had sent a refund-- but so what, I've got a flight to catch and no ride. It gets worse-- they had not sent a refund. After contacting them several times and no refund posting to my account, I disputed the charges through my credit card company (always keep e-mail reservation confirmations and correspondence!) who took care of the issue for me. Who can we report this company to? At least we have Yelp to get the word out.

I rented a 29-32 Mini Coach bus for my husband's 40th. I called and confirmed my reservation 2 times the week of the event. We live about 50 minutes from the event site. At 5:45 the bus hadn't arrived. I called several times over a 45 minute window and was given a different arrival times each time. In the end, the driver drove to the event location instead of my home to pick us up.

She was completely lost and had NO CLUE how to get to our house. How in the world in this day and age does the driver not have GPS! 30 people waiting at my home forced to drive to the party. My husband and I were late to the party I planned. Unreal.

They did not pick up any of the guests at one of the locations they were supposed to go to for our daughters wedding. The address and hotel were all on my confirmation and they claimed they did not know what to do. Fortunately our guests also had cars or they would not have made the wedding. It resulted in ous postponing the start of the wedding thus cutting short some of the other festivities and costing us a great deal of money. I will never use them again.

I learned of American Limousines through Living Social. They were pretty awesome with my reservation and had no issues w/ my two small dogs being in the car. The driver arrived on time, drove pretty responsibly BUT has bad sense of direction because he followed the GPS that wasn't updated. Going to the airport we went the wrong way and coming back home from the airport took a longer way rather than say on I-95.

But besides that little hickup our driver, Will, was very courteous, friendly and drove very good! I received confirmation calls both time with plenty of time before our scheduled reservation. Utopia was very friendly and very professional. I will use them in the future!

Horrible company! They called less than 24 hours before my friend's wedding and said that the service that they had requested was unavailable. They also called after 10pm at night! So unprofessional. The owner YELLED at my friend and was so rude on the phone and never apologized. I would NEVER recommend using this company to anyone else! So many of my friend's are getting married this year and I will let them know about the unprofessionalism that this company exudes.
