I hired them for my wedding. They were supposed to arrive at 4pm. They called me at 3:15 to let me know that they were going to be running about 15 minutes late. At 4:42 I received another call from the bus driver letting me know he was still 35 minutes away, at which point we had to delay the ceremony. When the bus finally did arrive around 5:20, the floor and several of the seats were covered in what appeared to be dried coca-cola.
I paid for a shuttle back-and-forth service, but due to the fact that many of my guests ended up having to call ubers, there were not as many passengers, so only one trip each way ended up happening. When I called Monday asking for a refund, they offered me only about 1/3 of my money back - I told them this was not acceptable, as they had only provided about 1/3 of the service I paid for, I expected 2/3 of my money back.
I was told this had to go through management and they told me they would call me back. I called back Wednesday morning after not hearing anything, and the person I spoke with hustled me off the phone and sent me that same refund amount.

I want to thank this company for making my daughter's senior prom night extra special. The driver Aaron was phenomenal. He arrived early, was very professional and treated my daughter and her friends like royalty. He let them play music from their phones, funny and drove safely to and from the prom location. We use Step Above Limo Services whenever I need transportation to and from the airport on Concord, NC. They are always punctual and on time on home or picking us up at the airport. Their sedans or SUVS are clean, polished and very comfortable. Their drivers are excellent and professional and drive safely at normal highway speeds. They are fairly priced in the market and competitive with the competition.

A step above was an amazing transportation service to use. I got my quote back super fast and finalizing the needs for my event was very easy. They text you every step of the way on the day of. Our chauffeur, Marie, went above and beyond. Was super polite and helpful. Everyone enjoyed the minibus. It was clean and comfortable. Please be aware if you use this company most of the drivers are not pvh certified as their answering machine states and most of the vehicles or not at least 2 years old and are in terrible condition. If you tip the drivers on your credit card they well not get it. The vehicles are not sanitized and have never been throughout the covid outbreak and they won't be.
Should you choose the book here you should probably do a background check on the drivers because you have no idea who's driving you and what their past consist of you'd be safer in a Uber or Lyft. You have been warned. Also the office workers leave the outstanding reviews that you see and the office manager has the accounting practices of a 5 year old. There research are several other limousine companies in Charlotte please do the research and when you do you definitely won't choose this company.

Avoid this company! Very poor communication, especially as concerns pricing information. Kept changing the specifics on the day of our event ( a celebration of life). Inquired about some last minute change possibilities and was told it would be no problem to modify contract, to just let them know. We did not authorize changes, but were charged for changes as if we had. In the end we were billed twice the amount we were originally quoted. Offered to meet them in the middle, but they wouldn't budge. Bad business strategy!

I ordered a car for my son and his new wife to take them from the church to the reception. I had originally ordered it for 4:30 and at the last minute (literally - about 3:15) I realized that I probably should have ordered it for 4:00. I called and was able to move the time to 4:00 with no problem at all. My son and his wife loved the ride and the driver.
We had one issue, and that was that the champagne I ordered for them was not included. However, once I contacted them about this, they very quickly apologized, explained what had happened, and refunded that portion of the cost. I would absolutely recommend A Step Above for your limo needs around Charlotte. Great to work with and very responsive.

We used A Step Above for our daughters Sweet 16 birthday celebration. We rented the Benz Sprinter Limo. Latoya in the office was very helpful & a pleasure to deal with. My daughter & 7 friends had an amazing experience! Rick our driver, was awesome & did an outstanding job with chauffeuring the girls to dinner & a night out. Wow, Wow, Wow! What more can I say? This limousine service is the best I have experienced in Charlotte! I mean incomparable. Let's start off with the vehicle selection. I reserved the Cadillac Mercedes Sprinter Van with the captain seats and it was immaculate! The vehicle was so clean and smelled great. The black on black was so sleek and professional-looking, my co-workers and I were super impressed.
Our chauffeur, was dressed well and was well kempt. He was polite and professional. He treated us with the utmost respect and I could not ask for anyone to be more courteous. I want to thank A Step Above Limousine for being better than I had imagined and making my travels easy and enjoyable.

They do not honor their written contracts! I had contracted them for 3 transfers for my daughter's wedding. The balance that was do on that day was $33.75. They charged my Credit Card an overage of $311.75. I had an email from them saying they would mail me the money owed to me. I was very pleased with our experience with A Step Above Limousine Service we used for our Dad's 90th Birthday celebration. Communicated very quickly and thoroughly, priced very fairly and a good value. Our driver, Melanie, was early to arrive, very professional and personable, and very accomodating. The limo was beautiful and very clean. It was a bit warm in the limo during our ride but we did have 10 people in the limo which was the maximum so I'm sure that didn't help the temperature. Overall, I would definitly use A Step Above Limosines again and would not hesitate to recommend them to others seeking classy, prompt, professional, and personal service.

I would not recommend using this service if you are looking to do business with a company that is transparent. Called and received quote from Ayman one of the owners who unsolicitedly raved about having a 2020 Mercedes Limo purchased before Covid. I asked if it was available on the requested day, he said yes, and provided quote of $490. However, when I called the very next day to book the quote increased and Ayman said I misunderstood and offered me a 300 Chrysler stretch limo for $490 because it was last minute, I went ahead and accepted.
The day before my booking I received an email offer from them for free "upgrade" Mercedes Benz Sprinter which was definitely not an upgrade. The limo was old, seats were peeling and it was dirty. It was embarrassing to see the reaction on the faces of my guests as they entered the limo. The two stars are for the driver Abraham who was prompt very flexible and accommodating.

This is one of the most unprofessional and negligent companies that I have ever dealt with. Don't waste your time or your money. The facts is I hired this company to run a bus trip for me on Saturday, the company contacted me after I fully paid off the trip advising that they have to add more charges on to my trip which was $400 to add another. driver because the state regulations requires a driver for a 24 hour trip.
I can appreciate the state regulations to keep me and my clients protected but what I can't appreciate is that I wasn't notified about this until less than 24 hours before my group trip. Not to mention, they had a full itinerary from day 1 and they sent me a receipt showing a.

They are a very bad business. The man that owns it is very disrespectful to his employees. My gf worked for them and didn't like how the ppl treated her so she quit and the owner don't wanna pay her. He said he needed to talk to his laywer.smh.it's a lot of things they do that they clients don't know and over charging for things like tips to the drivers that they never receive

No one showed up! I contacted A Step Above because the flight that my wife and stepson were on got delayed and wouldn't arrive until after midnight. I didn't feel comfortable with them taking a taxi that late. I gave them the flight number and all of my wife's information and they assured me that someone would be there to pick them up at the. airport.
When they arrived they waited over 30 minutes and no one showed. My wife and I called multiple times to find out where the driver was and no one answered. My father in law lives in North Carolina and I will be sure he tells everyone about our experience.

We made a reservation for prom, and we got several confirmation emails saying the reservation is all set. However, on the night of the prom, no one showed up to pick us up. NO LIMO, NO DRIVER! Then I called the company to ask what's going on. The owner and staff members are extremely rude on the phone and refused to admit their faults. They didn't even try to solve the issue.
The only thing they did is blaming the customers. They said they sent a cancellation email to me, which is obviously not true and I never got the email. So when I asked them to forward that "not existing" email to me, they refused to do so. Don't use them unless you're ready to ruin your special occasion.

Great company. Friendly staff. Our driver was very professional and got us home safely from our wedding. The car was nice, clean and in good condition. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I call and talk to someone named Gail in the afternoon ~2:30 about booking a bus for a corporate event. She gave me a quote, and when I asked about pricing, she said she would send a note to corporate and follow back up. I asked when they close and she said after 5. When I didn't hear back around 4:30, I called back and spoke with someone named Latoya. Gave the same information, and she said she would talk to corporate again and they would call me back before 5. Again, around 5:03, when I got no phone calls, I called back and talked to Latoya again.
She said she would directly call them vs. sending them emails/ message and call me back again. Closer to 6 pm now, I got no call backs, so I call again and get a 3rd person who then proceeds to tell me that Latoya is on the phone, apparently managers are also "tied up on the phone", and that the bus isn't available to begin with. This is extremely, beyond unacceptable way to treat a customer.
Not only do you fail to follow up with a customer after telling them MULTIPLE TIMES THAT YOU WOULD, you waste an entire afternoon for the customer. Truly disappointing and never to engage for a corporate event again.

Saw a driver for "A Step Above Limousine Service" today. One of the most dangerous drivers I have seen in the greater Charlotte area in some time. After watching the driver almost hit 2 cars by cutting them off, he decided to drive about 30 over the speed limit and swerve at a high rate of speed at the last second, and almost killed a pedestrian. The vehicle was a black Lincoln MK S license plate # ZH-3843.

I had to go to North Carolina a few months ago. A local friend took care of my transportation needs. I had no idea; She booked a limousine! The chauffeur opened to door, and there she was! She had surprised me hiding in the limo! She knew I was nervous about traveling and leaving my family. The driver was hospitable, and my friend lifted up my spirits in a sleek luxurious ride!

We got a stretch Chrysler 300 limo for our anniversary. We made the reservation kind of last minute because our other limo plans had fallen though (grrrr). The driver called ahead to confirm the pickup address and arrived about 15 minutes early as he said he would. We were happy that the car came on time, but the driver would not meet us at our door. Instead, we had to walk to a nearby parking lot to meet him.
I was not so happy about that, but we brushed off any bad feelings at this point. We did get good service being dropped off right at the front door of our next 2 stops which was very nice. However, when leaving our final stop and calling the driver to pick us up, he said that we would have to walk 1 block (in a city I'm not very familiar with) to meet him because allegedly the traffic was too heavy. What? Here's the thing. the traffic on the street was very light.
Maybe 1 or 2 cars passing by every minute. Not a busy street at all. And even if it was, why couldn't the driver circle the block until there was an opportunity to stop and pick us up? That's what I expected and the pickup service was just not what I expected. The car was very nice inside and we enjoyed the ride, but I am rating at only 3 stars because I was displeased with the driver's mannerism and skill.
