My union used Sun Diego for a strike which initially had to be abruptly cancelled at the last minute and rescheduled due to a tragic unforeseen circumstance. The rep Kiana was great with helping us to reschedule and also with working with us on the billing issue so we wouldn't lose our deposit. When we finally did strike the buses were on time, the drivers professional and everything went off without a hitch. Am very grateful to Kiana and would definitely use the company again.

They left bunch of highschool kids stranded in Bakersfield for over 4 hours because their driver cannot cross the state line ( for reason they wont disclose), despite knowing ahead the the kids destination is Utah!' For endangering our children they deserve a zero rating! Aweful response to worried parents inquiry!

We used this service for a few different rides while we had a business group in San Diego/La Jolla areas. Always early, always called/emailed before arrival, very communicative during the signing process, throughout the pick up/drop off process as well. Transportation was clean, drivers were very friendly and helped us out with some local spots. I would definitely use this service again. Very easy to book and pay.

PLEASE READ BEFORE EVEN THINKING ABOUT BOOKING SUN DIEGO! Opened a case with our bank for a dispute against this company. Tried our very best to get reimbursed for the "service", in this case, a lack thereof, and after 7 months have decided not to waste anymore time fighting to get our hard earned money back but would rather educate those looking into hiring this company so you don't make the same mistake!
Both busses were parked on the street adjacent to the Hilton Mission Valley (Camino Del Rio S) behind a large wall out of view from the front of the hotel. Guests were unable to see either bus and neither driver made an attempt to walk to the front of the hotel to get guests nor made it known to anyone that they had arrived or were parked on Camino Del Rio South instead of in front of the hotel where the pick up was scheduled. Guests only began boarding the bus because our limo driver (separate company/vendor) had informed guests that the busses were on Camino Del Rio S.
My guests had to walk down to the street in formal attire in 90 degree weather while the bus drivers sat in their vehicle with no effort to help guests board the bus. Only the 56-person capacity bus had been used. The 24-person capacity bus driver decided to stay parked in the same spot at the hotel all day since no one boarded his bus on the initial drive. Additionally, since he had not made an attempt to walk to the front of the hotel, he missed several guests who needed a ride to the Immaculata Church on the initial drive; these guests ended up calling Uber to be taken to the church even though the bus driver was sitting in his bus on Camino Del Rio S.
The 24-person capacity bus driver claimed he was waiting to pick up any additional guests that might need to be taken to the ceremony, however, when he did decide to call, he called to ask if he could leave. At this time it was already 6:00 PM and the church ceremony had already been over for approximately 3 hours. At this point, the 24-person capacity bus driver should have known that all of the guests would be at the Prado.
Why would he continue to wait at the Hilton Mission Valley hotel when he knew that no one would be there, especially since he was not actively paying attention for guests that might have needed a ride? The 24-person capacity bus driver decided not to be proactive in calling sooner even after I had made clear instructions for both busses to be outside of the Prado at that time.
He told me he had been at the Hilton the entire day. Also, at the time I spoke to him (6:00 PM) and told him that he needed to be at the Prado he made no attempt to come over and was nowhere to be found. At the end of the event, the busses were supposed to be at the front of the venue to bring guests back to the hotel however, only the large bus ended up showing up, and the 24-person capacity bus still was nowhere to be found.
Only after my sister-in-law asked the driver of the 56-person capacity bus to see where the other bus driver was, did the bus driver finally drive over from the Hilton Mission Valley. He had been parked in front of the Hilton the ENTIRE day. Even after speaking to me directly earlier that evening (6:00 PM), and my telling him that he needed to be at the Prado he still stayed put at the Hilton Mission Valley.
After our reception at the end of the night, the 24-person capacity bus driver even jokingly told my husband and I that we had been his only passengers that day; we were picked up at around 11:40 PM. The driver then proceeded to drop us off on the Camino Del Rio South where I had to walk in my wedding dress past transients and up a large ramp. This was not how I envisioned my experience with Sun Diego Charter.
Sun Diego Charter did not fulfill the service I paid $2592.00 for, and I am requesting to receive a refund at the very least, for the cost of the 24 passenger bus.
